Simply Artic - Lapland

Travel into a spectacular land of northern lights and vast snow-covered terrains, a land that is home to one of Europe’s ‘lost tribes’, the semi-nomadic Sami people. We take you to the edge of Scandinavia, to a remote corner of Finland, deep inside the Arctic Circle. Here you can enjoy a world of remarkable natural beauty, living traces of a Sami culture that has survived since prehistory, and countless winter activities in the Arctic wilderness. Simply Arctic is our entry-level offering, where you’ve got the complete flexibility to do as much or as little on your winter break as you choose. We’ve put together a complete programme of optional excursions and you’re free to book as many or as few as you like.

Included Activities

Our Simply Arctic package is trimmed down, giving you a value-for-money basis on which to visit the Arctic Circle in the Northern Lights season of the snowy winter months.

Your Simply Arctic break starts with a flight to Enontekiö in Finland, followed by an hour transfer to the small border town of Karesuando, where you will stay at the hotel of your choice on a full board basis, followed by a return transfer to Enontekiö and flight home.

Your package will also include the hire of thermal suits and boots, to keep you warm in the Arctic cold.

You can choose to spend your time just exploring around your hotel and admiring the snowscapes that spread out towards the wilderness. Or you can browse through our exciting range of optional excursions and decide which you would like to add to your Simply Arctic break. For example, you might choose to take a Northern Lights Snowmobile Safari in the hope that you might get to see one of Nature’s most extraordinary spectacles, which is often visible in these parts at this time of year.

Or perhaps you would like to try the wonderfully healthy pastime of cross-country skiing. All the necessary equipment is available to hire and there are groomed cross-country ski tracks nearby for you to explore. Our guides can also provide you with tuition, should you need some help mastering the art.

Simply Arctic is an excellent way to sample the thrills of a winter break deep inside the Arctic Circle, where you will breathe in the cleanest air in the world.
