Day 1 – Bangkok: Get ready to explore Bangkok as soon as your flights lands. Once you step off the plane at Bangkok Airport, you will be welcomed by a friendly guide who will transfer to the prestigious Siam Heritage hotel. You will have time to freshen up before the afternoon when you will embark on a 5-hour ‘Colours of Bangkok’ cycling tour. Be sure to dress comfortably as you will cover a distance of around 30 kms. This trip will include visits to a local Buddhist temple complex, and a sweatshop making sandals before going on a short boat trip across the Chao Phya River on a long tailed boat. You will visit slum houses and the people living there as well as seeing an open-air Muay Thai kickboxing school. You will ride through the greenest area of Bangkok and stop to visit a local elementary school. Cars and other heavy traffic are not able to drive on most of the route of this tour, which means 95 percent of the journey will be traffic free. If you are not a seasoned cyclist, then do not worry, as you will stop every hour to rest and drink water or a soft drink. Halfway, you will stop at a local food shop and try the Pad Thai Kung or Kao Pad. After a fun-packed trip, you will return to your hotel for a well-earned rest.
Day 2 – Old Siam Tour : Start the day with a delicious breakfast, before you
visit the Royal Grand Palace. You will be transported back in time to the reign of King Rama IV where the first road was created to facilitate the expats who were living in Bangkok. You will have the chance to walk through the 3 roads – Charoen Krung, Bamrungmuang and Fueng Nakorn – which are full of history. You will also stop at Wat Sraked to enjoy a panoramic view of Old Bangkok City.
Afterwards, you will continue by tuk tuk to visit Baan Bart, which is the original Khmer community and is known for its Baat making. You will also visit Wat Suthat and the Giant Swing, before the afternoon, where you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant, before returning to your hotel to relax as you wish.
Then in the last afternoon, you will have a chance to explore Bangkok at night. You will start by exploring bustling China Town, which is a popular tourist attraction. The 1 km long strip is packed with market stalls, street-side restaurants and gold shops. Be sure to put your bartering skills to the test to bag a souvenir at bargain prices. Afterwards, you will be driven to Hotel De’ Moc for dinner. After your meal, you will travel by tram around Ratanakosin area, where you can enjoy fantastic views of top attractions in Bangkok, including Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall, The Golden Mount, Wat Ratchanaddaram, The Democracy Monument, The City Pillar Shrine, The Grand Palace, Wat Pho and National Theatre.
Finally, you will end the night by exploring the Khao San Road, which is famous as "the centre of the backpacking universe". Then you will return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3 – Canal tour: Be sure to fuel up with a hearty breakfast to prepare for a busy day of sightseeing. This morning you will hop on a long-tailed boat and cruise along Bangkok’s picturesque canal route. Your first stop will be at the Chinese Shrine on the bank of the river near Wat Anongkharam. Discover how the Shrine was established over 200 years ago during Thonburi period. Feel free to take photos, before continuing to the site of Queen Mother’s former house, which is now set up as a memorial museum to the late Queen Mother. Next, you will stop at Wat Santa Cruz, then stroll around the local village of Kudi Chin and stop at local bakery to try the local delicacies. Next, you will return to the boat and continue your journey to Wat Rakang - a unique triplex scripture hall that is over 200 years. Learn how it was once was the house of King Rama I when he was Chao Praya Chakri. You will also have the chance to visit other historical sites in the temple, before heading to Supatra Restaurant for lunch. Next, you will return to your hotel to pack your luggage. In the evening, you will be transferred to Bangkok Airport for your flight home.
