Day 1
Depart London Heathrow on Jet Airways flight to Delhi.
Day 2
On arrival, there is a private transfer to the Sheraton New Delhi Hotel in a Deluxe Room for two nights, including breakfast. Conveniently located in the heart of a busy upmarket area of Delhi, you may spend the day relaxing by the pool, work out at the gym or exploring Delhi independently.
Day 3
Enjoy breakfast at the Sheraton New Delhi Hotel, before you city tour of both Old and New Delhi. Your tour starts driving past the UNESCO LISTED Red Fort,the residence of the Mughal emperor of India for almost 200 years, until 1857. Housing a number of museums, originally constructed by Shah Jahan in 1648 is now the iconic symbol of India. From the Red Fort to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1644 and 1656. Drive pas Kotla Firoze Shah, the ruins of a 14th century fort, followed by a visit to Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi cremated in 1948. The old city of Delhi is teaming with people, narrow roads and lanes a kaleidoscope of colour and is always subject to traffic restrictions. This afternoon, your tour takes you to New Delhi, with wide-open boulevards; imposing colonial architecture designed by Lutyens once the British Capital in 1911. Drive past the Presidential Palace, the impressive Rajpath to the World War I Memorial Arch the India Gate. Visit Humayuns Tomb, built by his grieving widow Haji Begum in 1565 followed by a visit to the Qutub Minar a 72 metre high Minaret. At the end of your tour return to the Sheraton New Delhi Hotel and the rest of the afternoon and evening is at leisure. There is a choice of dining at the Sheraton New Delhi Hotel, Dakshin specialises in delectable cuisine from four southern states of India. Pan Asian serves a variety of flavours from Asia and the Orient, or for a more relaxed atmosphere Baywatch overlooking the swimming pool serves buffet lunches and dinners and an a' la carte menu, end your evening in the Lounge Bar for a nightcap.
Day 4
Breakfast and checkout of the Sheraton New Delhi Hotel, before leaving by car to Agra the journey takes approximately three hours (208 KMS) from the Yamuna Express Way. On arrival in Agra, check into the ITC Mughal Hotel in a Mughal Room, including breakfast. This afternoon enjoy a city tour of Agra including a visit to the majestic Taj Mahal one of the greatest love stories ever told, built by Mahal Shahjehan as a memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz, taking 22 years to build. From the Taj Mahal your tour continues to the World Heritage site of Agra Fort. One of the most important strongholds of the Mughals richly decorated encompassing the Mughal style of art and architecture. At the end of your tour, return to the ITC Mughal Hotel the rest of the afternoon and evening is at leisure to explore Agra or relax in your luxurious surroundings. The ITC Mughal Hotel set in over 35 acres of lush gardens, in close proximity to the Taj Mahal and winner of the Aga Khan Award for its excellent representation of Mughal architecture. Enjoy a wonderful choice of restaurants specialising in tandoor cuisine at Peshawri and the eclectic buffet dining at the Taj Bano. At the end of your day, relax in the stylish lounge bar Maikhana.
Day 5
Enjoy breakfast at the ITC Mughal Hotel before checking out and starting your journey to the alluring city of Jaipur (approximately 235 kms and a five-hour drive). Your first stop is Fatehpur Sikri about 37 kms West of Agra, a quiet town the court of Emperor Akbar abandoned to the elements in the 16th century. On arrival in Jaipur check into the ITC Rajputana in an Executive Room for two nights including daily breakfast. The ITC Rajputana, surrounded by lush gardens echo the city’s history, just half a kilometre from the city centre ideally located. Relax by the hotel swimming pool, rejuvenate in the ITC Rajputana Spa, or explore Jaipur independently.
Day 6
Enjoy breakfast at the ITC Rajputana, before your day tour of Jaipur starting with a half day excursion to Amber Fort, just seven miles north of Jaipur in the Aravalli Hills. Enter this honey coloured by elephant (optional) through Suraj Pol (Sun Gate) leading to Jaleb Chowk (Main courtyard) described as ‘the sleeping beauty of Rajasthan. This afternoon a city tour of Jaipur, with a photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) followed by a visit to Jai Singh’s Observatory built in the 17th century by Jaipur’s founder. From the Observatory, your journey continues to the City Palace, now a museum containing Rajput and Moghul paintings, rare manuscripts, an armoury, beautifully embroidered Maharajas and Maharanis clothes. Return to the ITC Rajputana, to relax or continue exploring Jaipur independently. Enjoy a wide choice of restaurants including Jal Mahal, specialising in Indian, Oriental, Rajasthani and International cuisines. Peshawri serves specialty cuisine from the North West frontier, or for 24 hour dining Chandravanshi Pavillion serving a comprehensive range of International and Indian delights.
Day 7
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the ITC Rajputana before checking out and starting your drive from Jaipur to Delhi, approximately 264 kms and around a six-hour drive. On arrival, check into the Sheraton New Delhi Hotel for one night in a Deluxe Room including breakfast. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax in your luxurious surroundings, or explore Delhi independently. If you would like to travel by Air from Jaipur to Delhi, this can be arranged for an additional cost.
Day 8
After an early breakfast at the Sheraton New Delhi Hotel, before checking out and transferring to the airport for your flight to Goa. On arrival in Goa, there is a private transfer to the Cidade De Goa for five nights in a standard room, including daily breakfast. The Cidade De Goa, sits on a hill overlooking the bay reminiscent of an ochre coloured Portuguese hamlet. Enjoy a wide range of restaurants Alfama inspired by a Bohemian town for fine dining with signature gourmet dishes, for a more relaxed dining experience the beachfront grill Barbeque, or the Pool Side Restaurant Café Azul. The International buffet restaurant Laranja serves a vast array of dishes, enjoy delectable pastries and savouries with coffee tea and own fresh breads at Docaria the 24-hour pastry shop. Work out at the fitness centre or indulge in a wonderful spa treatment at Pavitra Ayureda spa.
Day 9
After breakfast at Cidade De Goa the rest of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy this wonderful resort. Relax by the pool or on the beach, select from a wide range of watersports, including jetskies, parasailing, banana and speed boats along with waterskiing, beach cricket and beach volley ball.
Day 10
After a leisurely breakfast at Cidade De Goa, there is a half day sightseeing tour of Old Goa founded in the 16th century by Adil Shah later conquered by Alphonso de Albuquerque in 1510 giving this lovely city its Portuguese influence. Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, built in three architectural styles in red stone, housing the reslics of St. Francis Xavier in a Mausoleum of marble and silver. From here, visit the impressive Se Cathedral, the first religious monument erected to commemorate the victory of Alphonso de Albuquerque over Adil Shah. Your journey continues to the Tropical spice plantation; with a guided tour by an expert discover the spicy world of black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and many more. Enjoy a simple lunch in these wonderful natural surroundings, before returning to Cidade De Goa and the rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy your luxurious surroundings.
Days 11, 12
At leisure to relax and enjoy the beach, swimming pool, water sports and excellent activities the Cidade De Goa has to offer
Day 13
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and check out of the Cidade De Goa, there is a private transfer to the airport for your return Jet Airways flight back to the United Kingdom.
