Hiroshima needs little introduction, made famous on the 6th August 1945 when the city was obliterated by the dropping of the Atomic Bomb, destroying everything within a 2 km radius. Hiroshima is now referred to as the ‘City of Peace’ tourist flock to this poignant town to visit the Peace Park and the Cenotaph Memorial Arch. Wander through Shukkei-en, beautiful landscaped gardens dating back to the early 17th century, from here explore the Museum of Art filled with works by Van Gogh, Renoir and Monet along with famous Japanese artists.
