Stroll through the historic downtown area, classic art deco and neoclassical buildings sit in juxtaposition to old fashioned skyscrapers, discover the old towns Plaza Independencia surrounded by historic buildings of the republican era, returning to your ship this afternoon with dinner and entertainment on-board.

Your next stop Punta del Este one of South America’s most glamorous resorts which elegant homes and a harbour teaming with yachts. From here cruise along the coast of Brazil before arriving for a full day in Porto Belo in Brazil. Its 19th century colonial architecture confirms its Italian, Portuguese and German colonial influences. Santos, the largest city on the Sao Paulo coast with a canal system over one hundred years old, but perhaps more famous for the legendary soccer star Pelé’s Santos Futebol Club, discover one of the largest beachfront gardens in the world.  

A late departure from Santos with an overnight sailing to charming colonial town of Paraty, founded by Portuguese and becoming one of the most important ports during the gold rush leaving a legacy of beautiful colonial buildings.

Return to your ship in the early evening before sailing overnight to Ilha Grande ‘Big Island’ one of the last protected Atlantic Rainforest, with a rich and diverse ecosystem with a population of endangered species. The surrounded waters are protected, so keep your eyes peeled for penguins, whales and a kaleidoscope of tropical fish.

Our next two days spent at Buzios Brazil, north of Rio de Janeiro a charming fishing village, home to stunning beaches, world-class boutiques this lovely village made famous by Bridget Bardot.

Sadly, this fabulous cruise will end in Rio de Janeiro with an overnight stay. Here you will visit the magnificent Christ the Redeemer Statue, standing guard over one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Wander along the famous golden beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema and watch the beautiful people, here you will say goodbye to your new shipmates with memories of one of the most spectacular areas of the world.
