Day 1 – Nairobi & Rift Valley: Get ready for the time of your life when you fly into Nairobi for your African adventure. You will be welcomed by our friendly representative who will greet you at the airport before transferring you west through Kenya's fertile highlands. Look out your window and see rolling tea and coffee estates abound. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled when the trees part to reveal a spectacular view of the Great Rift Valley. You will be wowed as you spot the dormant Longonot Volcano take centre stage. Your panoramic journey will then take you to Lake Elementaita Sentrim Camp, where you will arrive around mid-day. Once you have checked in, you will enjoy lunch before setting off on your first game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Be sure to have your camera ready as you delve deep inside the animal kingdom. Flanked by rocky escarpments, pockets of acacia forest and at least one waterfall, the park is gorgeous year-round and is home to both black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos and endangered Rothschild giraffes. The southern end of the lake is the best place to see wildlife. The forested area below, Flamingo Hill, is a favorite lion-spotting point as lionesses love to sleep in the trees, while leopards also roam in the same area. After an eventful day, you will return to the camp for dinner before retiring to your luxury tent to enjoy a well-earned rest.
Day 2 - Lake Elementaita to Maasai Mara Game Reserve: Enjoy a scenic start to the day when you embark on an escorted Bird Walk drive to Narok Town via Mai-Mahiu . You will enjoy a brief rest stop before travelling onto the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in time for lunch. After your feast at the lodge, you will set off on an afternoon game drive. Be sure to remain vigilant as you venture into the animal kingdom once again to spot the famous big five animals. That’s not all, you are also bound to spot Nile crocodiles, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes. Finally, as the sun sets, you will arrive at the Mara Sentrim Lodge for dinner and a well-earned rest.
Day 3 - Maasai Mara Game Reserve: Today you will explore the vast plains of the Maasai Mara, starting early with a game drive before breakfast. This reserve is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. This means that game is abound here, particularly when the migration is on, and millions of wildebeests and zebras make their way back and forth across the Mara River on their annual trek. The Mara is also famous for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black manned males. You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as, leopards, cheetahs and rhinos. The ‘Big Five’ are also residents, so make sure your camera is ready to snap photos of these magnificent beasts. You will adore your time on game drives as you wander through the huge expanse of grassland, which is dotted with distinctive flat-topped acacia trees that are watered by two rivers, Mara River and Talek River. You are also bound to see nomadic Maasai people, who can be spotted grazing their cattle, usually brightly dressed in red chequered capes. After a fascinating day, you will return to your Lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 4 - Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Nairobi & Mombasa: Start the day with a delicious breakfast, before leaving the Maasai Mara and heading across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok. From here you will cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment. You will arrive in Nairobi - Kenya’s bustling capital - in the early afternoon. You will be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your onward flight to Mombasa. Then, once you land at Moi Airport, you will be transferred to Pinewood Beach Resort & Spa. Feel all your worries float away as you step foot inside this tranquil paradise, which boasts swaying palm trees, white sand, and azure waters. Once you have check-in, you will be free to unwind as you wish. You will stay here on all-inclusive basis, which means you have one less thing to worry about and one more excuse to indulge and relax.
Days 5 to 8 - Mombasa: Discover that heaven is a place on earth at this beautiful resort. You will spend the next few days in Mombasa, where you will be free to pamper yourself with a spa treatment, or head to the pool for a cooling dip. Best of all, the beach is only a few footsteps away from the resort – which means you can even enjoy a relaxing stroll and admire the stunning view. You can also enjoy views of the sea from the hotel, which provides the perfect spot to watch the most epic sunrises and sunsets.
Day 9 - Mombasa to Nairobi: Experience a leisurely breakfast before you are collected from the hotel and are transferred to Moi Airport for your onwards flight to Nairobi. Once you arrive, you will be met by our friendly guide who will take you to The Lazizi Hotel for check-in. You will have the rest of the day free to spend as you wish. If you want a bit of adventure then venture out and explore the local nightlife.
Day 10 - Departure: Today, your African experience will sadly come to an end. After an early breakfast, you will be transferred on a complimentary hotel shuttle to Jomo Kenyatta to travel back to the UK. As you board the flight, your mind will be buzzing with the adventures you’ve enjoyed.
