On the way, you will spot the charming chapel built at the foot of the escarpment. You will pass the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as you head across the valley to Narok. You will continue your travels across acres of wheat and barley, before reaching the Masai Mara in time for lunch. Once you have enjoyed your meal, you will set off on your first game drive. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled as you venture into the animal kingdom to spot the famous big five, which includes lion, leopard, African elephant, African buffalo, and black rhinoceros. That’s not all, as you are also bound to spot Nile crocodiles, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes. You will return to Keekorok Lodge, where you will stay on a full board basis, before the sun sets.
Day 3 - Masai Mara National Reserve:(B,L,D)
You will rise at the crack of dawn for another early morning game drive before breakfast. Here you will travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the Mai -Mahiu, before arriving at Lake Nakuru around midday. Once in the park, you will view game en route to the lodge. Following lunch and perhaps even a siesta, you will be able to enjoy an afternoon game drive in the national park, which is known for its birdlife, and offers a possibility to view flamingoes. It is also home to Black and White rhinos as well as the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Before the sun sets, you will return to Lake Nakuru Lodge for a well-earned rest. You will stay here on a full board basis.
Day 5- Lake Nakuru & Amboseli National Park:(B,L,D)
Today, you will say goodbye to your time at Lake Nakuru and continue your travels towards Nairobi and then head south towards Amboseli National Park. Along the way, you will stop for a picnic lunch. Once you arrive around sun set, you will be able to spot game en route to the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, which is set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa's highest mountain, the glittering Mount Kilimanjaro. Day 6- Amboseli National Park & Tsavo West National Park:(B,L,D)
Today you will start the day with a morning game drive in Amboseli National Park. Its signature attraction is the sight of hundreds of big-tusked elephants set against the backdrop of Africa’s best views of Mount Kilimanjaro. In fact, Africa’s highest peak broods over the southern boundary of the park, and while cloud cover can render the mountain’s massive bulk invisible for much of the day, you’ll be rewarded with stunning vistas when the weather clears, usually at dawn and or dusk. Apart from guaranteed elephant sightings, you’ll also see wildebeest and zebras, and you have a reasonable chance of spotting lions and hyenas. The park is also home to over 370 bird species, and it has an excellent array of lodges and a gorgeous climate. Once you return to the lodge, you will have the rest of the morning to enjoy at leisure before feasting on a delicious lunch. After your meal, you will leave for Tsavo West. This journey will take you east, across the spectacular Shetani lava flow, a reminder of the molten outpouring that spilled down the scenic slopes of the nearby Chyulu Hills over the last three centuries. A zig zagging road through scrub thorn and acacia will lead you into Tsavo National Park. Its East and West sides form the largest of Kenya’s parks. You will arrive in the evening but still have the chance to spot game en route to the Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge, where you will stay on a full board basis.
Day 7- Tsavo West National Park & Taita Hills Game Reserve:(B,L,D)
This morning, you will enjoy a game drive in Tsavo West, which is one of Kenya’s larger national parks. It boasts a huge variety of landscapes from swamps, natural springs and rocky peaks to extinct volcanic cones, rolling plains and sharp outcrops dusted with greenery. There will also be an opportunity to visit to Mzima Springs with its underwater viewing holes. After an eventful morning, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After your meal, you will check-out and continue your journey to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Once you have checked-in, you will have the rest of the afternoon free to spend at leisure at the Sarova Saltlick Game Lodge, where you will stay on full-board basis. You can enjoy the facilities or view animals from the lodge’s underground hide or balconies. The entire lodge is raised on stilts, providing 24-hour game viewing opportunities from any corner of the lodge.
Day 8 - Taita Hills & Mombasa:(B,L,D)
Today, you will enjoy a morning game drive in Taita Hills Game Sanctuary, which is home to elephant, lion, oryx, lesser kudu and a wide variety of smaller animals. You will return to the lodge, where lunch will be provided. After your feast, you will check-out and continue your journey to Mombasa, aiming to reach your beach hotel by late afternoon. Once you arrive, you will check-in and simply relax. Feel free to pamper yourself with a spa treatment, or head to the pool for a cooling dip. Best of all, the beach is only a few footsteps away from the resort – which means you can even enjoy a relaxing stroll and admire the stunning view.
Day 9 to 10 Mombasa: (B,D)
All your worries will slip away as you spend the next two days relaxing. You will be free to spend the days as you wish, whether it is indulging in a spa treatment or relaxing by the pool or beach.
