Thailand offers several small islands, each offering unique sights of their own, that are easily accessible within an hour or two by boat. Many have excellent snorkelling and diving sites, while others simply offer nice patches of sand on which to spend a quiet day. Phuket, Thailand's largest island, nestles against the Indian Ocean Coast approximately 870km south of Bangkok. Phuket's coastline boasts some of the finest beaches. A variety of activities are available including: jungle trekking, snorkelling, island tours, trips to the National Parks and temples or a visit to Patong where you will find beaches, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and discotheques.
