A division of Emerald Global Ltd, peoplestravel is backed by over 35 years of industry experience serving UK holidaymakers.
Our flagship travel 'venue' is conveniently located at 56 Baker Street, a five-minute walk south from Baker Street tube station.

To make the most of our 2,000 sq feet plus of open-plan space, our retail design and fit-out was done by Cotton Thompson Cole, Construction and Design Consultants whose clients include Credit Suisse, RBS, HSBC, Signature, Strada and Wagamama.
The result was a 'travelshop' with a difference. We do not have walls of brochure racks, cluttered windows and impersonal desk structures. Instead, the emphasis is on people, with comfortable discussion nooks and interactive touch-screens giving clients immediate access to the perfect holiday.
White walls line the room acting as large-scale movie screens. You'll be inspired by the sights and sounds playing around you, featuring images from a wide range of destinations. Step over to the permanent blog wall; a massive map of the world covered with tips, suggestions and inspiration from other peoplestravel customers. Or for instant access to information including hotel room photos, tourism destination information and a whole lot more, use one of the touch-screens to instantly click on the information you want.
Our operation is designed to give clients the best in customer service. Staff come from a wide range of backgrounds with expertise in everything from cruising through to honeymoon and gay and lesbian travel.
Instead of going to the desk, staff bring the desk to you in the form of a high-speed laptop that can be accessed from anywhere in the store. Browse from the comfort of one of the brightly coloured sofas, curl up and watch a DVD on the plasma-screen television or just have one of the sales staff give a few personal tips based on their experiences. It's all about choice - and the choice is yours.

"We had a fantastic trip. Air NZ were great, good choice thank you! And the stopover at the Cook Islands was great!! All hotels were fine & comfortable and what we expected. Ferry fine Motorhome fine,( good base vehicle, Mercedes Sprinter with auto gear box, a dream to drive) We simply had day after day a new and great experience. It was a trip of a lifetime. We loved both Islands but would have to say, South island probably came out top but it was all very good indeed. I could send you 1800 digital photos.... Your itinerary was 1st class and you made the trip so easy for us. Thanks for all you provided and we will be in touch when we plan our next"big trip"

I was quite astonished when I discovered this travel agent, in the heart of London - a stone’s throw from Oxford Street. It’s a glamorous outlet - deceptively spacious - unlike any travel agents that I’ve ever come across previously. Even more extraordinary, given the current economic climate.
On entering, you’ll see a huge world map, on one side of the wall, stickered with comments from happy travellers. To the other side, there’s a comfy and inviting sofa with a plasma screen behind it. Take a seat and you’ll be offered a drink, as you contemplate and ponder your next trip.
There are only around six staff - with booking screens - in spite of the impressive size of the premises. It’s set-up to enthuse and inspire the traveller, with space to dream and inform yourself. On my recent visit I had a lengthy chat and explored some ideas, confirming that one of my dream destinations will realise itself on my agenda…one day. I wasn’t made to feel pressurised, or ill-at-ease, although I didn’t make a booking there and then. Instead, I was encouraged to return and experience one of their special evening events (I haven’t had the chance to yet).
During 'normal’ office hours, it’s a 'pure’ travel agents (albeit luxurious and super client-friendly) but venture here in the evening and you might find it transformed into an exotic destination, featuring themed dancing and festivities. It quite turns the trend for isolated exploration, from the 'comfort’ of your lonely keyboard, on its head and re-inspires enthusiasm for the expertise and input of a real travel specialist. I’ll definitely consider returning when I’m ready to book, or if I’m close to the area and fancy a quick 'escape’, or some enticing inspiration.

From the moment we were greeted by Chris at the door and then received a warm welcome from Leni Tallant, we realised the meaning of the word 'People' in Peoples Travel. The 'Amtrak Evening' was an excellent way of learning about America and the exciting holidays which could be taken by rail, all in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with no pressure and lots of pleasant company. Delicious refreshments provided were an added bonus, but the highlight for us was at the end of the evening when I won the Prize Draw for an amazing Amtrak trip to Utah. We have never visited America and so this is a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know the country.
Thank you Peoples Travel for the 'Utah-ly' fantastic time you gave us and we look forward to booking even more great trips with you.
