FLYING TIME: From UK approx 24 hours
TIME: GMT +12 hrs but daylight saving time applies
HEALTH: No vaccination certificates required. No major health risk but be aware of Giardia, a water-borne parasite that causes diarrhoea and is spread through drinking untreated water.
VISAS: Not required but passport needs to be valid for 3 months beyond date of travel departure.
CURRENCY: NZD (New Zealand Dollar)
SEASONS: suitable for visit all year round but wamer summer months preferred (November to April except Dec and Jan which is too busy due to Christmas and school holidays).
