Itinerary:
Day 1 Drive 2 hours through paddy-fields and Dusun villages over the ridges of the Crocker Range to the foothills of Mt. Kinabalu. At Kinabalu Park World Heritage Site, visit the Education Centre and Mountain Garden, home to various species of the flowering rhododendrons, carnivorous pitcher plants, orchids, ferns, oak trees and birds. Overnight at the Park Chalet. (L,D)

Day 2 Travel to Timpohon Gate to start the 4-6 hours trek (with a mountain guide) to the overnight accommodation (dormitory style), Laban Rata (3,353m). (B,L,D)

Day 3 Start ascent at 3 am to reach the summit (4,095.2m) for the spectacular sunrise at 6am. After your descent, return to Park HQ for lunch and at 1430hrs, transfer back to Kota Kinabalu. (B,L)
